Public Reading of the Gospel of Mark

On Sunday, April 25 at 4 p.m. we are reading the Gospel of Mark in its entirety at the Evergreen site (7275 SW Hall Blvd. Beaverton, 97008). As we encourage biblical literacy, not only is the preaching of the word helpful (Pastors Costa and Lewis are preaching through Mark) but also the public reading is instructive and delightful. As Luther described himself “a captive of the Word,” so we would not only privately study it but also listen to it presented in public readings. During Sunday morning worship at Evergreen you will have the privilege of hearing the Old Testament Lesson and the New Testament Lesson read without any exposition. We are discovering the biblical text to be relevant and powerful, a delight to our ears and to our souls. Come join us and hear for yourself.
