Chehalem Valley Presbyterian Church

Who We Are

Chehalem Valley is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) denomination.
Check out our magazine, By Faith.

Regionally, we are part of the Presbytery of the Pacific Northwest.

Even more locally, we enjoy fellowship with the churches of the Oregon Mission.

Chehalem Valley Staff

We support and offer a university campus ministry, Reformed University Fellowship at UO and UW.

We are a confessional Church publishing in print and online what we believe the Scriptures to principally teach as a guide for our faith and life. We subscribe to the ecumenical creeds including The Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We subscribe to the Westminster Standards so that there is little confusion as to what we believe and practice. While these confessions are not perfect, they do serve to hold us accountable to each other pushing us to study the Bible, relying upon the Holy Spirit to increase our understanding and application of the Word of God. We readily acknowledge that the Church is much larger than our confessional communities and we welcome and work alongside of other churches, denominations, and organizations who seek to follow Christ Jesus, proclaiming and living his gospel in all areas of life.

We agree with the popular, one-page statement of faith adhered to by many evangelical churches.

We are an active Church relying solely upon gracious work of God, our Savior, following Christ in virtue and good deeds in gratitude for our redemption through him. We are a church seeking to be good for the world. We love Oregon and Newberg where God has placed us.
Chehalem Valley is part of a multi-site congregation with sister worship communities in Beaverton and in Wemme Oregon. We meet to worship God and to enjoy his grace and peace. Presently, Chehalem Valley Presbyterian Church meets at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Newberg.
