Who We Are
Evergreen is a multi-site congregation in Oregon. We meet to worship God and to enjoy his grace and peace. Presently, Evergreen Presbyterian Church meets in Beaverton on Sunday mornings, with Reconciliation meeting on Saturday evenings at the same site. Chehalem Valley Presbyterian Church in Newberg is another one of our worship and fellowship sites. Our third site is Hoodland Chapel in Wemme, Oregon, on Mt. Hood. Ascension Presbyterian Church is in the planning stages, and will be another worshiping body in our Beaverton location.
We are an active Church relying solely upon gracious work of God, our Savior, following Christ in virtue and good deeds in gratitude for our redemption through him. We are a church seeking to be good for the world. We love Oregon and the particular communities in which God has placed us. We humbly seek to reflect Christ in Beaverton, Newberg, Wemme, and other locations in the future as God directs us.
We readily acknowledge that the Church is much larger than our confessional communities and we welcome and work alongside of other churches, denominations, and organizations who seek to follow Christ Jesus, proclaiming and living his gospel in all areas of life.
